Holistic Care at the Hogar Cristiano Nicaragüense
At the heart of El Ayudante's ministry is the Hogar Cristiano Nicaragüense (HCN) — a family enrichment center in León serving 34 children, teenagers, and young adults. Every child receives two meals and a snack, tutoring, Bible studies, individual and family counseling, and medical care. We care for the whole person so that lasting transformation can take root in every family we serve.
Daily Tutoring & Academic Support
Our HCN operates on a rotating schedule so every age group receives focused attention. High school students are on campus in the morning and attend school in the afternoon; elementary students have the reverse. During their time at the HCN, every child receives hands-on tutoring and academic coaching to keep them succeeding in school — and reversing Nicaragua's troubling dropout trend.

Education & Future Opportunity
Education changes everything. El Ayudante has seen 21 first-generation high school graduates, 7 students currently enrolled in college, and 3 who have already earned their degrees — all from families where higher education was once unimaginable. We provide every resource children need to stay in school and pursue their God-given potential.

Housing Initiatives
Safe, stable housing is foundational to family wellbeing. Through our housing ministry and the work of mission teams, we build new homes and renovate existing structures so that the families we serve have a secure foundation for growth.

Two Meals & a Snack Every Day
No child can learn on an empty stomach. Every day at the HCN, children receive two nutritious meals and a snack — ensuring they are nourished, energized, and ready to grow. For many families, these meals represent reliable food security that simply did not exist before El Ayudante.

Individual & Family Counseling
