Every child in our program is proof that with the right partnership, cycles of poverty can be broken and futures transformed.

Chilo's Journey
In 2004, Chilo was 8 years old, living with her two sisters and grandmother, barely making ends meet. She dreamed of becoming a nurse — and in 2021, she graduated college with a nursing degree! Her university hired her to oversee the curriculum for the entire nursing program.
Carlos Calls It Home
Carlos, a current college student, describes El Ayudante as "Home" — not just a project or organization. El Ayudante has provided him with everything he needs to thrive, including a new house.
Yesprin's Path Forward
Yesprin first joined the program at HCN in 2017 when he was 10 years old. He graduated high school in 2019 and is now studying agricultural engineering at his university.
